My Name is Tammy Molloy and I am the Managing Director of Bayside Finance. I have joined the team with 23 years experience with Barclays Bank (FNB) then First National Bank in a sales and advisory position. I have run my own businesses including a slimming and beauty salon ‘Tammy True’ for 3 years. Further to this I joined Intertek Testing Services in a sales and marketing position. I worked for Intertek for 11 years and became the Vice President and Director of the SA – Nigeria Business Chamber and have been an active member of several other chambers and trade associations. My passion is developing customer relationships and I stress to maintain a high quality service with everything I do.
My hobbies include reading, travel, movies and spending time with my husband and family. I am a lover of all animals. I am married with a daughter.
My name is Glenn Molloy and I am the General Manager of Bayside Finance Solutions. Most of my working career has been in banking. I joined Barclays Bank (now First National Bank) and worked in various senior positions during my 28 year career with them. During this period I acquired a number of qualification, including CAIB (South African), Corporate Bankers Executive Programme), SMDP (Senior Management Development Programme), A BComm degree through UNISA.
I was also the founder of COD (Cash on Demand) which was established in 2001 and exited this business in 2007.
My hobbies include watching sport and marathon running. I completed many Comrades Marathons, Washie 100 Mile and many other marathons. I also played league cricket, under 20 rugby and play golf.
I am married to Tammy, have 2 daughters, 3 step children and 5 grandchildren.
My Name is Ashley Frencken and I have been appointed as the Operations Manager at Bayside Finance Solutions. Most of my background is in the hospitality industry. I completed my Hospitality Management diploma with the top achievements for my year in 2015 and have spent the last 5 years in Cape Town working at prestigious 5-star properties including the Mount Nelson Hotel and Taj Cape Town. Prior to hospitality, I completed my Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree in New Zealand and thus have a very keen eye
for design and details.
Unfortunately, at the end of last year (2019) I had a traumatic accident which left me with major pelvic damage, and this together with national lockdown and the state of the hospitality industry has resulted in me relocating back to Durban.
My hobbies mainly include hiking, painting (acrylic canvases), and cycling. I am really aiming to get back to my favourite activities with a lot of therapy and will power.
My name is Eddie Viljoen and I am the Broker at Bayside Finance Solutions. I have a solid background in banking, insurance, and Property Development – Commercial and Residential.
I completed my studies at Natal University with various post graduate courses including:
Oxford University Euromoney Captital Markets, Citibank-London Business School Strategic management, and furthered my studies to include GSB-UCT International Diploma & FNB-Wits Business School Finance.
During 1986 and 2004 I worked in banking for First Rand Merchant Bank as head of KwaZulu Natal, and later as a Director for FNB Corporate Kwa-Zulu Natal. I moved on from banking after FNB to pursue a directorship at Firstlink Insurance Ltd and then Marsh Insurances SA Ltd where I am currently still working.
During 2004 to 2016 I also took on the project management of luxury apartment developments in Musgrave, Durban. Further consulting included proposals for Hospitals and Hotels at Victoria Country Club, Pietermaritzburg; Sourcing Properties for the International Hotel Group – The Best Western and the International Housing Solutions Fund. I expanded this service to include projects in Mpumalanga and Maputo in Mozambique.
I am married, live in Durban and have 3 children.
I qualified as an Architect from the University of Witwatersrand in 1982. There after I travelled extensively and settled in Durban in 1988.
I have been based in Durban ever since and practiced under Frencken & Associates as of 1991 (my own company). The scope of work I focused on include architectural design, project management, as well as product design. During this period, I have been involved in numerous developments and have had exposure to the development, financing and construction related professions amongst others within each development. I have an in-depth knowledge of project related legal issues, the business of estate agents and project marketing. I have also been involved in the hospitality industry including hotels, restaurants and lodges.
My hobbies include playing squash, sailing, kite boarding, leisure running and cycling. I also enjoy pottering around in my workshop and developing products that focus on new ideas and solutions.
I am blessed with a daughter and a son; and am married to Petra.
